Rivertowns Shakespeare Festival

The fifth summer · The first festival

A new summer tradition takes the stage.

Free for the
community!

Two days of Shakespeare, artists, learning, and shared experience in the Delaware River communities of South Jersey.

More than an evening at a play

Shakespeare, opened up.

At its center is a one-hour, thoughtfully reduced version of a Shakespeare play—short enough to welcome families and leave room for other artists, performances, and educational experiences throughout the Festival.

Our story

Four summers. One next act.

What began as Shakespeare in the PRC at Riverview Estates is growing into a free regional arts tradition for Riverton, Palmyra, Cinnaminson, and our neighbors.

4

Summers of free Shakespeare

Local audiences have already shown up—individual performances have welcomed more than 100 people, built with limited advertising and a great deal of community spirit.

1

Inaugural Festival

In 2027, the fifth annual production becomes the first Rivertowns Shakespeare Festival: still intimate, still artistically focused, and ready to welcome more of the community.

No velvet rope.
No prior Shakespeare knowledge required.
No admission price.
